Minister of Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has praised Ghana’s National Women’s Football Team, the Black Queens, saying they have made the country proud.
Ghana lost 4-2 on penalties in the semifinals of this year’s CAF Women’s AFCON to host nation Morocco and will compete for the bronze medal against South Africa on Friday, July 25 at 19:00 GMT.
The Foreign Affairs Minister made this comment in his address at the closing ceremony of the Inter Ministerial Games to mark this year’s Ghana Civil Service Week Celebrations.
The Ministry of Agriculture emerged winners in the women’s football competition while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emerged winners in the men’s category prompting the Foreign Minister to promise a special package for staff of the Ministry while sharing his thoughts on the Black Queens campaign in Morocco.

“Our female team has made us proud. Unfortunately we came to the end of the road but I know that in the spirit of sportsmanship in the next competition, we will do even better so we congratulate Team Ghana for excelling in Morocco”.
