Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren believes strongly that his team will score goals in future games beginning with Ghana’s game against Tanzania.

Ghana take on Tanzania in a must win game for both nations on Monday, July 14 at 19:00 GMT; Ghana is yet to win a game at this year’s tournament after losing 2-0 to South Africa and drawing 1-1 with Mali.

Speaking in a pre-game interview, Kim Bjorkegren bemoaned his team’s wastefulness in front of goal that has prevented Ghana from registering a win two games into the tournament but the Swede promised that would change moving forward.

“We were hoping to score more goals. I think we’ve had enough chances to do it. We prefer to score more goals in the future and I know that we will” Bjorkegren said.

A win over Tanzania  puts Ghana in line to progress to the quarterfinals of the Women’s AFCON for the first time since 2016.
