Black Queens defender Jennifer Cudjoe is disappointed about Ghana’s inability to pick up a win over Mali in its second outing in this year’s CAF Women’s AFCON.
Ghana’s Black Queens failed to capitalize on several chances to beat Mali and ended up with a 1-1 draw after losing 2-0 to South Africa in their first outing.
Alice Kusi bundled in Ghana’s goal in the sixth minute off a Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah cross but Aissata Traore’s fine finish levelled things up.
Ghana had multiple chances to get the win but missed those chances and despite picking up the Woman of the Match Award, Cudjoe was disappointed with the results stating,
“I’m happy to receive it [the Woman of the Match Award] but also a part of me is sad because I feel like we deserved the three points.”

“We just didn’t finish our chances and it hurts. It’s really frustrating…but sometimes in a game like this we just have to make sure that we finish our chances. It’s disappointing because we played well and we had chances…but it wasn’t our day.”
