Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, says his team has the quality to beat any opponent despite being labelled as a dark horse in this year’s CAF Women’s AFCON.
Ghana return to the continental championship after missing out on the previous edition and kick off their campaign in Morocco with a game against defending champions South Africa.
The game kicks off at 16:00 GMT with the Queens aiming to progress from the group stage of the AFCON for the first time since 2016 and despite being ranked as outsiders for a deep run, Kim Bjorkegren is bullish about his team’s quality to defy the odds stating in a CAF interview,
“Of course we know that we are a little bit of an underdog or a dark horse. We are not one of the biggest favourites to people but I know that we have the quality in this group to beat all of the teams in this tournament. I think we can have a really good chance to be successful.”

Ghana is in Group C with Mali, Tanzania and South Africa.
