Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice is eager for recently signed winger Noni Madueke to shock naysayers with the quality he has as a player.
Rice’s comments, made in a post-game interview after Arsenal beat AC Milan 1-0, come at a time where the former Chelsea player has faced serious backlash over his transfer from the Blues to the Gunners.
23 year old Madueke moved from Chelsea to Arsenal in a shock move for a reported fee of 52 million pounds; the steep price for the player who rose to prominence in the Dutch league for PSV Eindhoven, caused an uproar among Arsenal fans but Madueke’s international teammate Declan Rice sees things differently.
“I know how driven he is. He’s hungry, he wants to play for Arsenal and that’s the type of players we want. It’s so positive. He’s going to shock a lot of people and I can’t wait for him to come…It’s going to be really exciting” Declan Rice said.

Madueke competed in the FIFA Club World Cup with Chelsea but left the Blues camp to sign for Arsenal prior to Chelsea winning the title.
