The Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) has confirmed preliminary engagement with Jamaican dancehall star Vybz Kartel over his interest in hosting a concert in Ghana.
Earlier today, Vybz Kartel officially wrote to the NSA, requesting the use of the Accra Sports Stadium for a major December event ; his first-ever show in Africa.
Speaking on the matter, the NSA boss noted that discussions have taken place but offered limited details at this stage.
There has been engagement, and there has been contact ; that’s all I can say for now.
Any engagement with an international act, or even a local one like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, King Promise, or churches hosting end-of-year conferences, involves proper coordination. It’s not just about the pitch, but the entire facility being used equitably.
