Black Queens head coach, Kim Lars Bjorkegren, is certain about Ghana’s chances of qualifying to the quarterfinals of the 2024 CAF Women’s AFCON if the team can replicate its’ performance against Mali in its final game.

Ghana take on Tanzania in its final Group C tie in the tournament on Monday, July 14 at 19:00 GMT after drawing 1-1 with Mali and losing to South Africa.

The Black Queens need to beat Tanzania to stand a chance of qualifying to the next stage after picking just a point from two games but Kim Bjorkegren believes that should Ghana repeat its performance against Mali, the team will beat Tanzania on Monday.

“If we do the same performance [against Mali] again, I’m sure that we are going to win the third game and if we do that, we are probably in the quarterfinals so I’m happy with just one point because I think we deserved more but…we need to be a bit cleaner inside the box” Bjorkegren said.
