Public Relations Officer of Bechem United, Emmanuel Gyasi Atuahene, has shed light on details in the club’s kit for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Atuahene pointed to the club’s history and history of the Ahafo Region- the region Bechem is located- as the inspiration behind the colours and design of the new bright coloured strip.
The new kit is heavy on yellow and green colours with the indigenous Adinkra symbol synonymous with the Ashanti Kingdom styled in the strip.
“The deep green…Bechem is found in the region of Ahafo and in the Ahafo Region, most of the indigenes are farmers. When you look at the jersey, we have the yellowish part which also indicates the minerals that we have in the region. It’s a combination of the history of the club, the history of the region that was used in our kit.”

“If you look at the shoulders of the kit, we have the Adinkra symbols which also talks about the history, the tradition of the club because Bechem in one way or the other is also affiliated to the Ashanti Kingdom. We decided to use the Adinkra symbols to indicate that indeed we are part of the Ashanti Kingdom” Gyasi Atuahene said.

Bechem United take on Bibiani Gold Stars in the season opener on September 13 in Bibiani. The club recently signed former Manchester City wonder kid Aminu Mohammed. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
