Ghana Premier League side Bechem United have announced the official signing of former Manchester City winger Aminu Mohammed ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

The club made the announcement to confirm the reported deal that has been in the works for a while since the conclusion of the 2024-2025 season that had Bechem United finish 10th in the 18 team league standings.

The signing marks the return of 24 year old Aminu Mohammed to the Ghana League after breaking out as an immense talent at West African Football Academy (WAFA).

Spotted in Bechem United’s new kit for the upcoming season, the once highly touted prospect was named as the club’s new signing with a statement that read,

“With his pace, power and European flair, Aminu is set to bring flair, creativity and goals to our frontline. Dawowar nan ta fi ƙarfin da da!-This comeback will be stronger than before” on the club’s X (former Twitter) page.

He was scouted by the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich before joining Man City’s Academy for a reported fee of $1.5 million.

Striker Aminu Mohammed picked up his second Man-of-the-Match award in the 2-0 win over Aduana Stars on Wednesday at home.

He scored a deflected free-kick after 52 minutes to double the lead.
