Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says a lot of work went into getting his team to beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.

The clash between the archrivals ended the 2025 GHALCA Top 4 that had Hearts of Oak beat Kotoko 2-0 but narrowly missed out on winning the pre-season tournament to Bibiani Gold Stars on the head to head rule.

Hearts bagged goals through Emmanuel Amankwah in the 74th minute and Abdul Karim in the fifth minute for the win to close out the competition without losing a game and Didi Dramani believes that his team can improve.

“There was a lot of work…to know how we will deal with their [Kotoko’s] long ball situations and anticipating for second balls and then trying to put pressure on their centre backs so that they can make mistakes.”

“There is still a lot to improve and we want to improve on the basic aspects where players can live up to the necessary expectations of energy, effort and performance” Dramani said.
