Ghana National Women’s Football Team midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe says that competing in the just ended CAF Women’s AFCON has prepared the Black Queens for its upcoming test.
The Black Queens take on Egypt in the final qualifier for the 2026 Women’s AFCON with the first of a two legged tie scheduled for October 20 in Egypt. The return leg is set to take place in Accra on October 28.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports on the sidelines of a breakfast meeting with officials from the Bank of Africa Ghana in the aftermath of the Black Queens’ bronze medal win at this year’s AFCON, the veteran player was confident the team’s recent campaign in Morocco has prepared them for the Egypt clash.
“They-Egypt- are also going to be a good test for us but I feel like we’re just ready. I feel like this tournament has given us upper hand to build on something” Cudjoe said.

The Bank of Africa Ghana was represented at the breakfast meeting by Abderrahmane Belbachir, Managing Director, Kojo Van-Ess, Group Head, Human Resource and Administration, William Boateng, Executive Director Business Development and Laila Pentsil Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication.

Ghana marked its best performance at the AFCON since 2016 with a bronze medal finish in Morocco and are aiming to return to the AFCON semis to qualify to the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
