Ghana’s U-15 girls team, the Black Damsels, have secured a place in the semi-finals of the ongoing CAF African Schools Football Championship in Zimbabwe.
The Black Damsels advanced to the last four despite suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat to Burkina Faso in their final group game on April 7, 2026. Their qualification was secured thanks to dominant displays in their earlier matches, where they recorded a 6-0 victory over Guinea and followed it up with a 2-0 win against Tanzania.
Those results ensured Ghana accumulated enough points to progress from the group stage.
Ghana will now face Zambia in the semi-finals as they continue their quest to defend their title successfully.
The Black Damsels head into the clash with confidence, having shown attacking quality and resilience, despite the setback in their final group match
