The 2025 Gbese Mantse Homowo Cup is set to serve fans more than just football action this Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with organisers confirming a special musical performance from Ghanaian rap icon Nii Addo Quaynor, popularly known as Tinny.

The Gbese Mantse Homowo Cup has, over the years, grown into more than just a football match, becoming a unique cultural and entertainment event in Accra.

Speaking in an interview on Breakfast Daily on Channel One TV, event organiser Sammy Anim could not hide his excitement about securing the celebrated rapper for the occasion.

“I can confirm that we’d have the legend Nii Addo Quaynor, better known by his stage name Tinny, perform on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium,” Anim said.

Tinny, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of Ga rap music, is expected to thrill the crowd with some of his timeless hits as part of the Homowo festivities. His appearance will add extra spice to the football showdown, which brings together fans, footballers, and cultural enthusiasts to celebrate Gbese Mantse’s Homowo Festival.
