Ghana’s Black Stars have inched one place up in the latest FIFA rankings, following their recent outings in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Otto Addo’s men, who had occupied the 76th spot in successive rankings, now sit 75th in the world.
The rise comes on the back of their September 2025 international window, where they drew with Chad before defeating Mali’s Eagles at the Accra Sports Stadium, a result that kept Ghana at the top of Group I.
On the continental table, however, the Black Stars remain unmoved, holding firm in 14th place among African nations.
Coach Addo is eyeing further progress in the rankings when the team returns in October for their final two group matches against the Central African Republic and Comoros on matchdays nine and ten, as Ghana chase qualification to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
