Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has missed out on winning a pair of monthly based awards in the English Premier League.
Semenyo was nominated for the Goal of the Month Award in August and was nominated for the Player of the Month in August.
However, the AFC Bournemouth player’s brilliant goal off a solo run against Liverpool missed out on the award to Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboslai’s terrific free kick against Arsenal.
On the Player of the Month Award, Semenyo’s brilliant displays in the opening month of the 2025-2026 season lost out to England’s Jack Grealish of Everton who registered four assists in the month to lead all players in the league.

Former Manchester City player Grealish was instrumental in Everton’s wins over Brighton and Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league.
Aside his fine performances, Semenyo made the headlines for his brilliant response to a racist act from a Liverpool fan. The fan in question has since been banned from all stadiums in the United Kingdom.
