Bibiani Gold Stars Sporting Club head coach Stephen Frimpong Manso has dismissed the shaky start to the 2025-2026 season for Algeria side JS Kabylie saying it won’t play any role in the team’s play against Gold Stars this weekend.
Bibiani host Kabylie at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first of a two legged tie in the CAF Champions League with the 2025-2026 campaign being the debut run in Africa’s premier club competition for Gold Stars who are the reigning Ghana Premier League champions.
Speaking ahead of the game in a pre-game presser, Frimpong Manso indicated that Kabylie’s two draws and a loss in three league games won’t lead Gold Stars to underrate the Algerians.
“We don’t have to even think about that. For me, it’s nothing. We still respect them a lot and the standings you are talking about it’s three weeks old so it’s nothing. For me, we are not thinking about that they are a very strong side we respect them.”

“On the field of play, we will not say they are 14th on the table after three weeks so we are going to walk over them no not at all. It’s going to be a tough game” Frimpong Manso said.
