FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick believes that Marcus Rashford’s brace against Newcastle United will help the Englishman’s confidence.
He said this after Rashford scored twice in Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Newcastle United at the St. James’ Park in the UEFA Champions League.
The forward, who is on a season-long loan from Manchester United, starred in the win thanks to his production in front of goal including a rocket of a shot for Barcelona’s second goal.
After dealing with inconsistent form and disciplinary issues, Rashford lost his way at Man United but Flick believes that his performance in England against Newcastle will do his confidence a lot of good.
“I’m happy for him. I’m happy to have him. These two goals will help a lot to get Marcus to the next step.”

“It’s so important he has the confidence and feels OK. These goals are unbelievable for him for the next steps” Flick said about Rashford to the BBC.

Rashfor picked up the Man of the Match Award; his first at Barcelona.
