Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has tagged his team’s win over Chelsea at Old Trafford as a deserved one.
He said this after Man United’s 2-1 win over The Blues’ in a game that had Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez sent off after just three minutes for a foul on Bryan Mbeumo.
Man United midfielder Casemiro was shown a second yellow card to exit the game deep in added on time in the first half 13 minutes after scoring Man United’s second goal and Amorim wasn’t pleased with that but credited his team for the deserved win.
“We started the game in the right way. Really aggressive. The red card [on Robert Sanchez] helped us dominate the game but we were already there. It’s always complicated with us.”

“It should have been different this game. [Casemiro] He’s [feeling] worse than me. We suffered in the end but we deserved the win” Amorim said.

The win over Chelsea is Man United’s second five games into the 2025-2026 league season; the team has two losses and a draw.
