Antoine Semenyo’s brilliant start to the 2025-2026 season continues to get better as he once again starred for AFC Bournemouth.
The Ghana Black Stars player bagged a brace and an assist in Bournemouth’s 3-1 win over Fulham at the Vitality Stadium in the English Premier League on Friday, October 3.
Picking up the ball on the left side, Semenyo dribbled past two defenders to the bye-line before rolling the ball through the legs of Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno from an acute angle to score the first of two goals on the night.
In a post-game interview with the BBC, Semenyo, who improved his tally for the season to six goals and three assists in seven games, described his effort as a perfectly executed goal.
“I knew I was going to beat him [the defender]. I knew I wanted to go to the byline and maybe cross the ball.”

“I looked up and I saw that there were no options there, so my next thought process was through the keepers legs, and I knew if I put it there I would score. It was executed perfectly so I’m happy with it” Semenyo said.
Semenyo moves to Casablanca, Morocco to team up with Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team for its 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic on October 8.
