Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stated that wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke are in line to feature in the Gunners’ UEFA Champions League game against Bayern Munich.

The group phase clash takes place at the Emirates Stadium at 20:00 GMT with Arsenal coming on the back of an impressive 4-1 win over London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs.

Martinelli and Madueke have been out injured for multiple weeks but ahead of the big game, Arteta believes the pair could be a late addition to the Matchday squad and added that Arsenal’s injury situation could vastly improve with the potential return of another key player.

“They [Martinelli, Madueke] are [in contention to play against Bayern], and we’re going to have a meeting now to decide on Martin [Odegaard].”

“He was very close for the previous game, so we are hopeful that tomorrow he can be in the squad as well” Arteta said in a pre-game presser.
