Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso says his club’s 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames was possibly the most well-rounded game they had played in a while.
He made this comment after the dominant win over Bilbao away from home that had French striker Kylian Mbappe score twice and register an assist in the big win.
Mbappe scored two brilliant goals from range with his first coming off an eye catching run before heading the ball across the face of goal for France teammate Eduardo Camavinga to score Madrid’s second.
According to the club’s media, Xabi Alonso praised Mbappe, who scored his 25th goal of the season in all competitions, for leading the group to its first away win in four games.
“He’s-Kylian Mbappe- in great form. He scored two more great goals today.”

“His movement and link-up play with Vini Jr. was very good. It was an important moment after three away draws to get back to winning ways” Alonso said.

Mbappe has 14 goals in 14 games ahead of Real Madrid’s league game against Celta Vigo on Sunday, December 7 at 20:00 GMT.
