Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo was very happy to score what turned out to be the winning goal in Chelsea’s win in the UEFA Champions League group phase.
Caicedo jumped highest to steer a header into the net in the 78th minute to give Chelsea a 1-0 win over Pafos at Stamford Bridge.
Prior to the goal, Chelsea had been frustrated for long stretches by the very defensive team from Cyprus that was anchored by former Chelsea defender David Luiz.
The game was Liam Rosenoir’s first in the UEFA Champions League as Chelsea head coach. Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Caicedo stated,
“It was a very important goal for the team so I’m so happy because the game was so tough. The team was good.”

“We got three points and now we’re going to enjoy and we’re going to keep going because we have one more game to go.”
