Athletic Bilbao head coach Ernesto Valverde is backing Black Stars forward Inaki Williams to score more goals to get results for the club.

He said this after Inaki Williams scored the winning goal in Bilbao’s 2-1 victory over Valencia away from home in the quarterfinals of the Copa Del Rey. (Scroll down to watch Inaki Williams’ Goal)

Williams scored in the 96th minute after coming off the bench in the 70th minute with his brother Nico Williams providing the assist for the goal.

The win over Valencia qualifies Bilbao to the semifinals and a step closer to winning a title in what has been a challenging season for the club that ranks 11th in the league standings at the time of writing.

Valverde, who has come under serious scrutiny over the team’s under par performances, was backed by Inaki Williams after the win.
