The Ghana Premier League Week 22 fixture between Medeama Sporting Club and Aduana Football Club was temporarily halted on Friday evening following a heavy downpour at the TnA Sports Stadium.

The two sides were locked at 1–1 when match officials suspended play with about 15 minutes remaining due to unsafe playing conditions.

Medeama had taken a first-half lead through a stunning trademark free-kick from midfielder Salim Adams, giving the home side a slim advantage heading into the break.

However, the second half was heavily affected by rainfall from the restart, slowing the tempo of the game and making ball control difficult for both teams. Aduana eventually found an equaliser in the 70th minute when Seidu Saana restored parity for the visitors.

As the rain intensified in the closing stages, referees decided to pause the encounter and send both teams back to the dressing room.

An official assessment is expected to determine whether the match will resume later the same night or be continued the following day under improved weather conditions in the Ghana Premier League.
