Bibiani Gold Stars deputy communications and administrative manager Joseph Oti Manu has indicated that Gold Stars’ win over Accra Hearts of Oak shows how serious the team is about winning the Ghana Premier League title.

He made this known after Gold Stars beat Hearts of Oak 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League Week 24 round of games. The win was Gold Stars’ first over the Phobians since gaining promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The win also meant that the defending champions stayed second but reduced the point gap on league leaders Medeama SC to just one and Oti Manu believes beating Hearts shows the club’s intent.

“It was a good weekend for us….it was a good game. The two teams played very well but let me congratulate Bibiani Gold Stars for the massive win.”

“Playing in Bibiani (against Hearts) it tends to be a drawn game but we made everything right from management level and the fans were really poised”.

“It-the win over Hearts- tells you how ready and how serious we are; we are left with 10 games (to end the season and we believe we are picking it game after game and we will see what happens in the next few months” Oti Manu said in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports.
