Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Prince Yaw Owusu has stated that his players struggle dealing with pressure when playing at the Baba Yara Stadium.
He said this in a post-game presser after Kotoko drew goalless with Vision FC at the aforementioned venue in Kumasi.
The result meant Kotoko stayed in fourth place and missed out on an opportunity to close down the gap on league leaders Medeama SC following the latter’s draw at Swedru All Blacks.
Speaking in his post-game presser, Prince Owusu lamented midfielder Hubert Gyau’s choices in front of goal and added that his players feel under more pressure to perform in Kumasi than in away games. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“I think the boys they feel it-pressure playing in front of home crowd at Baba Yara.”

“When we’re playing here, they feel it and I could see the way they perform. When we go out, they are free then they try to play.”

“At Wenchi-against Young Apostles-it was amazing how they got the early two goals and today we had those chances early too [but] they couldn’t bury it” Prince Owusu said while revealing that the team had brought in a psychologist to work with the players.
