Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa has stated that the club won’t give up the chase to win the Spanish La Liga title despite falling further behind arch rivals FC Barcelona in the standings.
After losing 1-0 to Osasuna in surprising fashion, in the past round, Real Madrid shockingly lost 1-0 to Getafe at home.
The back to back losses have put Real Madrid four points behind league leaders Barcelona who have 64 points with 12 games left to play.
Speaking at a presser, the Real Madrid interim head coach indicated that the club wasn’t ready to give up the title race just yet.
“There are 36 points left and we have no other goal but to fight to earn the 36 points. Nobody here is going to throw in the towel. This is Real Madrid and nothing is given up until the last match.”

“Obviously, four points is a gap we believe we can close, and that’s what we will fight and work for, starting with the next match in Vigo. This is Real Madrid and nobody here is going to give up” Alvaro Arbeloa said.
