Despite grabbing a solid win in the first leg, Atletico Madrid forward Ademola Lookman is bracing himself for a tough challenge in the second leg of Atletico’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal stage clash against FC Barcelona.

Atletico beat Barcelona 2-0 away from home in the first leg in a game that had Julian Alvarez score a brilliant free kick with Alexander Sorloth adding Atletico’s second. (Click highlighted text to watch goal)

Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi was shown a red card for the foul that led to Alvarez’s goal and speaking after the game to TNT Sports, Nigerian forward Lookman believes the second leg will be a massive challenge.

“Good result and performance from the team, especially not to concede here. That shows the work that everyone has been doing on togetherness.”

“Scoring after they had a man sent off was key. Brilliant free-kick from Julian and the timing of Alexander Sorloth’s goal as well.”
