Michael Jackson replaces Scott Parker as Burnley Manager

English coach Michael James Jackson has been named as the interim manager of Burnley Football Club.

This comes after Scott Parker left his role as manager of the club via mutual consent, Burnley confirmed via a statement on Thursday, April 30.

Parker leaves his post with Burnley’s relegation to the EFL Championship official with four games remaining in the 2025-2026 English Premier League season.

At the time of writing, Burnley ranked 19th in the 20-team EPL standings with 20 points after winning just four games, drawing eight, and losing 22.

Parker led Burnley to qualify from the Championship to the EPL but suffered a quick return to the lower division.

“Scott Parker has left his position as Head Coach of Burnley Football Club by mutual consent. Following confirmation of the Club’s relegation from the Premier League last week, Parker and the Board held discussions and mutually agreed that his time at Turf Moor would conclude.”

“Mike Jackson, supported by the existing backroom staff, will take interim charge for the Clarets’ remaining four Premier League fixtures” a section of the club’s statement read.
