Houston Rockets center Jabari Smith Jr. described the Rockets as the “better team” heading into Game 6 of the team’s best of seven game series against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Smith made this comment to reporters after excelling Houston Rockets’ 99-93 win over the Lakers in Game 5 of the playoff series.

The 22-year-old registered 22 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots without committing a turnover.

The win was Houston’s second in a row without the injured Kevin Durant; Game 6 is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, and heading into the contest, Smith Jr. believes his team is the better side.

“We’re obviously the better team, I feel like. I don’t care who we play. I don’t care what team I’m on. I mean, people going to take how they want to take it, but I don’t care.”

“It’s just a mindset, but you got to get on the court and prove it. You got to get out there and fight and do the things that it takes to win. So, I’m going to stand on that statement, and we just got to keep proving it” Smith said.
