FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick suffered a major tragedy in the lead up to the El Clasico after losing his father but after leading his team to win the big match and secure the 2025-2026 Spanish La Liga trophy, Flick dedicated the win to his late father.
The German tactician oversaw his team’s 2-0 win over arch rivals Real Madrid in front of Barca supporters at the Camp Nou.
The win stretched Barcelona’s lead atop the standings to 14 points with three games remaining on the calendar; the title win is Flicks’s second in his second season in charge of the club.
Addressing the crowd after lifting the trophy, the former Bayern Munich coach shared his love for the club in an emotional tone as he lifted a miniature of the La Liga title to the sky in dedication to his demised father.

“I will never forget this day. It was at tough day for me. My team is fantastic and it is like a family. I am really proud. To do it in this stadium and also in El Clasico” Flick said.
