Newly appointed Black Stars goalkeepers trainer Daniel Gasper is expected to arrive in Ghana this weekend as he begins work with the national team.
Gasper will first meet Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare in Accra before embarking on a trip to Europe to engage other goalkeepers, including Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Anang.

He is also expected to meet with other members of the technical team, including Fatau Dauda, as preparations intensify for the upcoming Black Stars friendly against Mexico and the 2026 World Cup
Dan Gasper brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked across several national teams and clubs in Europe and the Middle East. The Portuguese coach is widely known for his long-standing professional relationship with Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz, serving as a trusted goalkeeping trainer during Queiroz’s stints with teams such as Iran, Colombia, and Egypt.
His appointment is expected to add technical depth and international experience to Ghana’s technical setup, particularly in refining the performance and consistency of the team’s goalkeepers.
