EPL: Antoine Semenyo nominated for Player of the Season Award

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been nominated for the 2025-2026 English Premier League Player of the Season Award.

The 26 year old is one of two Manchester City players nominated for the prestigious award alongside teammate Erling Haaland.

Beyond the pair, six players have been nominated for the top award including Arsenal trio of Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and goalkeeper David Raya.

Haaland won the award in the 2022-2023 season and is in the running to win his second award after scoring 26 goals and adding eight assists in 34 league games with two games remaining in the campaign.

Semenyo on the other hand, has 16 goals and four assists in 35 league games including a goal in Man City’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in midweek.

The Black Stars player started the season with AFC Bournemouth before sealing a move to Man City in the January transfer window.

He has won the Carabao Cup since joining Man City and is in line to win the FA Cup with Man City taking on Chelsea in the final on Saturday, May 16.

Man City could win the league title as they trail league leaders Arsenal by two points.
