Everton manager David Moyes has bemoaned his team’s failure to win maximum points in their English Premier League tie against Manchester City.

He said this after Everton threw away a two goal lead to draw 3-3 with the title contender. The draw puts Man City five points behind league leaders Arsenal who have played a game more than Man City.

Thierno Barry, who Moyes defended after coming under serious criticism from fans over his performances, responded by scoring a brace though that was countered by Jeremy Doku’s brace including a 97th minute goal.

After seeing his team miss out gaining three points to boost their European qualification ambitions, David Moyes was a bit disappointed.

“We let ourselves down because we defended the second goal so poorly. Look, at half-time we would have taken the result because were hugely outplayed in the first half.”

“The players made a great effort to get us in the game and really when we got to 3-1 we should be doing enough to see it out. In the last couple of games we’ve lost games late on and today we’ve draw.”

“It could and probably will have an impact on our final position” Moyes said to Sky Sports.
