Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has spoken glowingly about his relationship with former Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso.
He said this in his interaction with reporters that went viral over comments he made about the reasons behind his absence in the El Clasico against Barcelona and his substitute appearance against Real Oviedo that was met with heavy boos and whistles from Real Madrid fans. On the other hand, Mbappe stated that despite reported tensions between him and Real Madrid interim head coach Alvaro Arbeloa, he was fine working with Arbeloa.
Alonso was sacked midway through the season a few days after losing the Spanish Super Cup to Barcelona and reports have indicated that Mbappe was against the move and he gave an indication of how positive his relationship was with Alonso by stating,
