Chelsea Football Club’s interim head coach Calum McFarlane said he wasn’t interested in discussing matters connected to the candidate who got appointed as the club’s permanent head coach.
The Blues have been heavily linked with top coaches in the lead up to the offseason with former Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso and Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola penned as favourites for the position.
Speaking to the press ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup Final against Manchester City on Saturday, May 16 at Wembley Stadium, McFarlane showed little interest in the issue.
“A really good training week, and we’re really hopeful. There’s a lot of names linked with the job. We are hopeful he can finish the season in this form.”

“It’s not really my place to say who should get it, or who’s a good manager, who’s not a good manager. My job is to prepare the team for Saturday and that’s all I’ll be focusing on.”
