Ghana’s Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Sam George has dedicated Arsenal’s 2025-2026 EPL Title win to former Defense Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah. (Scroll down to view tweet)
Sam George, who is a big fan of the English Premier League side, made this dedication on his X (formerly Twitter) handle to the former Minister, also an Arsenal fan, who passed away last year in a tragic helicopter crash that took the lives of seven other individuals on board.
Arsenal sealed its first EPL title in 22 years after closest contender Manchester City drew 1-1 with AFC Bournemouth to fall four points behind the Gunners with just a game remaining on the league calendar. It comes ahead of Arsenal potentially winning its first ever UEFA Champions League title when the London club takes on PSG in the final on May 30.
While celebrating the long awaited league title triumph, Sam George reflected on Dr. Omane Boamah’s passing by stating,

“We are CHAMPIONS of England! Come on you Gunners! Dear Omane Boamah. This is for you! I know you are smiling where you are. Keep Resting In Power, Bro.”
