She made the call while addressing the team ahead of its opening game against Panama on Wednesday, June 17 at 23:00 GMT.
Ghana head into the game having played just a 1-1 draw against Wales with Carlos Queiroz stepping in as head coach in March following the dismissal of Otto Addo.
The Black Stars will play against Panama without key midfielder Thomas Partey who had his visa denied by Canada. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
The decision was upheld after Partey’s legal team appealed the decision but Ghana’s Vice President was optimistic about the team’s campaign.

“We know you are doing well, we know you’ve already excelled but we want you to go even higher…we thought to encourage you to do even more.”

“Ghana is rooting for you regardless where Ghanaians are…Ghana is behind you and Ghana has high expectations of you. We know you will do the best you can” she said.
