Senne Lammens has been named the Barclays Premier League Transfer of the Season after an outstanding debut campaign with Manchester United.

The award recognises the player who made the biggest impact following a transfer during the 2025/26 season, with supporters voting the Belgian goalkeeper ahead of a strong field of contenders.

Lammens joined Manchester United from Royal Antwerp on Transfer Deadline Day last summer and quickly established himself as a key figure at Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old played a crucial role in helping United secure a third-place finish in the Premier League, their highest league position in three seasons, while also helping the club qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Despite a turbulent campaign that included a managerial change midway through the season, Lammens remained one of United’s most consistent performers.

In 32 Premier League appearances, the goalkeeper recorded 18 wins, 10 draws and just four defeats. He also made 79 saves and kept eight clean sheets as the Red Devils mounted an impressive turnaround in form during the second half of the season.

One of the standout moments of his debut campaign came during United’s 2-0 victory over rivals Manchester City in the Manchester derby.

Reflecting on the occasion, Lammens described it as one of the greatest matches of his career, highlighting the significance of the result and the atmosphere surrounding the fixture.

The Belgian shot-stopper emerged victorious from an eight-player shortlist that featured Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Rayan Cherki, Viktor Gyökeres, João Pedro, Antoine Semenyo, Adrien Truffert and Granit Xhaka.

The accolade caps a remarkable first season in English football for Lammens, whose performances have quickly made him one of the Premier League’s most highly rated goalkeepers and a key figure in Manchester United’s resurgence.
