Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz says Ghana is fully focused on securing victory against Wales in its final friendly before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The match offers the Black Stars one last opportunity to fine-tune preparations for the tournament, with the technical team keen to assess the squad against strong opposition.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Queiroz stressed that his players are determined to express themselves on the pitch and make the nation proud.
“We want to express ourselves in the game tomorrow. It is the best of our skills, efforts and commitment,” Queiroz said.
The Portuguese coach said the goal is to play good football, deliver a positive result, and give supporters confidence ahead of the World Cup.

“As I said, the message is simple. We want to play great football. We want to play to win. We want to bring pride and happiness to the fans. That’s the only thing I’m sure our players have in mind.”
Queiroz also praised the commitment and attitude of his players in training, expressing confidence that the team is ready to represent Ghana with passion and determination.
“Being with them not for so many months, but the training sessions that I did with them, all of them are fully committed to deliver to the nation, to the flag. I’m very much confident that the message will be positive tomorrow.”

The friendly against Wales will provide Ghana with a valuable test before the start of the World Cup, allowing the coaching staff to make final adjustments as the Black Stars prepare to compete on football’s biggest stage.
With expectations rising among supporters, Ghana will be hoping to build momentum and confidence with a positive result before beginning their World Cup campaign.
