Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has stated that he is proud of the work Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team did at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He said this on his X page in the wake of the Black Stars elimination from the competition at the round of 32 stage after suffering a 1-0 loss to Colombia.
Ghana missed out on qualifying to the round of 16 stage after failing to cancel out Jhon Arias’ goal in the 14th minute of the first half.
Williams featured in the game and was replaced by Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in the 62nd minute marking the Athletic Bilbao player’s second outing in the competition but shared how proud he was of the team.
“Proud of this team and of all the work we’ve done. We all wanted more, but seeing the whole country come together again to give strength to the Ghana Black Stars has been truly special.”

“From the heart, thank you Ghana…We’ll come back” he wrote on social media.
Inaki Williams also played in Ghana’s goalless draw with England at the group stage.
