Spain midfielder Rodri says his team has shown the ability to adapt to all situations throughout its run in the 2026 FIFA World Cup which makes La Roja a complete team.
He said this as Spain prepare to take on Argentina in the final of the 2026 World Cup on Sunday, July 19 with the Spanish aiming to win the World Cup for the second time in only its second ever final appearance.
Spain head into the contest as the best defensive team in the tournament after conceding once in seven games and delivered one of the best performances in a 2-0 win over title favourites France in the semifinals.
Speaking at a Fanatics Fest ahead of the clash with Argentina captain Lionel Messi in attendance, Rodri highlighted his team’s qualities.
“We’ve shown that this national team has been able to defeat great opponents. I don’t think you’ve seen the same Spain across all the matches.”

“We can adapt to having to defend, counter-attacking, to attacking. We are a very complete team, and that is why we are here” Rodri said.
