Midfielder Jude Bellingham has called England’s hard fought 3-2 win over Mexico in the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the “best night” of his England career.
He said this after the Three Lions enthralling win over the co-host nation of this year’s World Cup put them in the quarterfinals.
England had to play over 35 minutes with a man down after Jarrell Quansah was dismissed after making a rash tackle in the 54th minute.
Bellingham scored twice in the win with both goals coming in the first half two minutes apart in a brilliant run of play for England and following the win, the Real Madrid player said,
“I’ve never been more proud of a group of lads, a squad, a nation. It was a country’s performance. It felt like everything I’ve seen this week is the country behind us.”

“All we’ve talked about this week is how difficult it’s going to be in an unbelievable atmosphere against a very good team. To get this win is the best night of my England career so far, for sure” he said.

England take on Norway in the quarterfinals on Saturday, July 11.
