Ghana's Ivan Snowden

Ghana’s Ivan Snowden has missed out on the men’s 50m breaststroke semi-finals at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games after finishing 49th overall.

Snowden clocked 31.63 seconds, a time slower than his personal best of 30.61 seconds, leaving him outside the qualifying positions for the next round.

The result came a day after he competed in the men’s 50m freestyle, where he finished sixth in his heat on Saturday, July 25, with a time of 24.83 seconds.

His freestyle time was also below his personal best of 24.16 seconds, placing him 54th overall among 58 swimmers.

Snowden’s campaign in Glasgow ends with appearances in the men’s 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke, with the Ghanaian swimmer unable to progress beyond the heats in either event.
