Nana Adu Gyamfi Adjem and Mark Kakraba Ampeh have emerged winners of the 2026 International Pairs Ghana National Play-Off after an exciting competition at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.
The pair finished with 43 points and were declared champions on countback, edging runners-up **Kwame Adu Afful and Lesley Boakye-Yiadom, who also recorded 43 points. Their victory earns them the honour of representing Ghana at the International Pairs World Finals in Tenerife, Spain, from October 5 to 10, 2026.
The National Play-Off, held in honour of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, marked the climax of this year’s International Pairs Ghana tournament, bringing together the country’s best amateur golfing pairs who qualified from tournaments held across five golf clubs.
The International Pairs Golf Tournament is one of the world’s leading amateur golf competitions, having been in existence for nearly three decades and currently played in more than 30 countries and territories worldwide.
- 1st – 43 points: Nana Adu Gyamfi Adjem & Mark Kakraba Ampeh (Winners on countback)

- 3rd – 42 points: George Antwi & Eunice Serwah Mpeniasah
- 4th – 41 points: Daniel Ntim & Anthony Appiah
- 5th – 41 points: Bismark Ntiedu Dapaah & Ben Blay Ofosu-Barko
Speaking after the victory, Kakraba Ampeh described the competition as highly competitive and thanked God for the success. He said the pair remained focused throughout the tournament by taking each hole as it came and expressed confidence that with adequate preparation and practice in Spain, they would be ready to compete strongly at the World Finals.
Executive Director of Legend Sports Management, Abdul Aziz Amankwah, said the tournament was introduced in Ghana in 2020 to give local golfers the opportunity to compete on the international stage. He noted that the competition has grown steadily over the past four editions, with increasing participation and wider acceptance of pairs golf in the country.

According to him, the organisers remain committed to promoting golf in Ghana by creating more competitive opportunities, attracting new players and strengthening the country’s golfing community.
This year’s competition featured qualifiers from Celebrity Golf Club, Centre of the World Golf Club, Royal Golf Club Kumasi, Pra River Golf Club Links and Achimota Golf Club, with the best-performing pairs battling for the national title and the coveted ticket to Spain.
The newly crowned champions will now carry Ghana’s hopes to Tenerife, where they will compete against winners from over 30 countries in the International Pairs World Finals later this year.
