President of the Senegal Football Federation Abdoulaye Fall has made a shocking revelation as the chaos stemming from the country’s participation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues. (Scroll down to watch video)

In his press briefing, Abdoulaye Fall stated that the team’s doctor Abderahmane Fedior was ill fit for the role since he wasn’t an expert in the field of sports medicine but rather gynaecology.

Senegal made it to the round of 32 stage at this year’s World Cup but surrendered a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to Belgium to crash out of the tournament in shocking fashion.

Head coach Pape Thiaw has since been sacked from his role with his entire technical team also dismissed in the aftermath of the campaign.

Briefing the press, Senegal Football Federation President Fall said players weren’t confident about medical support during the tournament and added that,

“In reality, our head doctor did not have the appropriate academic qualifications to oversee our players. I only recently discovered that the doctor is actually a gynecologist and obstetrician by profession.”

“At this level, and based on the feedback I received, the players were not fully confident in relying on him or having him continuously oversee their care. That’s why it became necessary to bring in someone with the right expertise—someone who could give the players complete confidence and peace of mind” Fall said.
