For the first time since 2022, the Williams Sisters featured in a competitive doubles game and shared how much fun they had despite suffering a loss.

Venus Williams and Serena Williams last featured together in the 2022 US Open and returned to compete at the 2026 Cincinnati Open.

The Williams Sisters suffered 2-6, 6-1 (10-8) loss to Marta Kostyuk and American Peyton Searns to crash out of the Cincinnati Open first round.

Venus and Serena have teamed up to win 14 major titles and were scheduled to mark their return earlier this year at Wimbledon before Serena suffered a knee injury and withdrew from the competition.

“I thought it was fun, I thought it was special, I thought it was good. We kicked off a little rust in the middle of the match.”

“We were starting to feel it, and it was really fun. It was really cool to be able to do this again” Serena said.

“I think we’ve waited a long time to get back on the doubles court, even this year. Eventually, we find our way to each other” Venus said.
