Thomas Partey makes Atletico Madrid’s 25-man-squad for UCL action

Ghana’s Thomas Partey has traveled with the Atletico Madrid team ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against RB Leipzig in Lisbon, Portugal.

Thomas Partey had been injured but recovered on time to make the 25-man-squad for the one-off quarter-final knockout clash.

The box-to-box midfielder has been phenomenal for the Spanish giants and is looking forward to helping his side win this season’s UCL.

The 27-year-old was rumoured to have contracted COVID-19 but the club confirmed the players to get the Coronavirus was Ángel Correa and Šime Vrsaljko.

Los Rojiblancos will face RB Leipzig in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions after knocking out the holders, Liverpool in the Round of 16.

The box-to-box midfielder has been phenomenal for the Spanish giants and is looking forward to helping his side win this season’s UCL.

Thomas Partey is heavily linked with a move to Arsenal as Mikel Arteta is eager to strengthen his team for the 2020/2021 season.
