Versatile Ghanaian midfielder, Jeffrey Schlupp, has registered his first assist of the 2022-2023 Season in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 win over Oxford United in the Carabao Cup tie played on Tuesday night. .
Palace got goals through Odsonne Edouard and Luka Milivojevic in the 71st and 90th minute respectively to send them through to the next round of the competition.
Schlupp laid on a beautiful pass through the middle that caught the Oxford United back line out for Edouard to run on to and deliver a tidy finish. (Click highlighted text to watch video)
The 29-year-old Schlupp has been deployed largely on the left side of Palace’s midfield this season and registered the assist after coming off the bench in the 51st minute to replace Killian Phillips.
The German-born player, who can also play as a winger, left back and wing back aside in addition to central midfield has played in all three Premier League games this season. Aside from Schlupp, Ghana forward Jordan Ayew played a part in the game and he made his entry in the 76th minute.
