Los Angeles Galaxy winger Joseph Paintsil has thanked fans of the club for showing up to support the team to open the new season.

Galaxy opened the new Major League Soccer (MLS) season with a 1-1 draw with Inter Miami with Argentine legend Lionel Messi getting the equalizer for Miami.

Paintsil played 86 minutes in his debut game for Galaxy and proved a lively character as he won a penalty while completing 19 of 21 passes and winning nine of 15 ground duels. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
